Dear President Obama:

Please do everything in your power to stop discriminatory laws that target Latinos and other racial minorities.

I join you in opposing Arizona’s SB 1070. Local and state police should protect communities and solve crimes, not act as immigration agents.

I also urge you to stop federal programs that encourage local police and sheriffs to enforce immigration laws.

These policies take aim at immigrants and trample on everyone's Constitutional rights, citizen and non-citizen alike.

I am adding my voice to many others to protect our families, our basic rights, and our American Dream.
